About me
M.K. Palmore is Founder and Principal Advisor of Apogee Global RMS, the integrated enterprise risk management firm built on his founding thesis: that cyber, physical, and human capital risk are no longer separable disciplines but a single interconnected system he calls the Nexus of Risk. Apogee delivers board-level advisory, risk assessments, organizational resilience programs, and executive search to organizations that cannot afford to manage those risks in silos.
Over a 35-year career spanning the U.S. military, federal law enforcement, and the private sector, M.K. has held senior leadership roles across national institutions and global enterprises. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He went on to serve in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, earning FBI SWAT Operator certification and advancing into senior executive leadership, where he led one of the Bureau's premier cybersecurity investigative teams.
Following his federal career, M.K. served as Vice President and Field Chief Information Security Officer at Palo Alto Networks, then in a senior cybersecurity role at Google Cloud. Across both, he managed enterprise risk at global scale and translated complex security realities into language the boardroom could act on.
